I love Ukraine…over the past 2 days, i went to 6 different glasses stores to try and get a screw put into my sunglasses that broke yesterday (it’s really such a simple fix, and if i had a screw i could fix it)
At each store, they kept saying “you need the master to fix it” we can’t fix this problem (or at least that’s what i understood)
I was like ‘the master’ what’s that mean… (Basically there’s only one person that can fix things i guess, and if the master is not in the store, you’re sunk, and you have to come back when the master is)
Well, about the 5th store, i gave up, they had some nice sunglasses there and i debated and bought the least expensive high quality sunglasses i could find. Because there was no master to be found.
On the way out the mall, i see one last opteka, I walk in, and on the door, i saw a sign that said master, and the door was open. After waiting 2 minutes, He fixed my sunglasses for the grand total of $1.20 (mind you this is just after i had just spent $120 on new sunglasses…)
so anyway, i really learned a lesson in patience today. No matter how badly we want to take things into our own hands. it’s really worth it to be patient and trust that the master will take care of it in his own time.
I’m jokingly going to call these sunglasses “Ishmael” theres a lot to learn from abram’s impatience and desire for control.(genesis 16) and i learned it through sunglasses today. How have you seen your desire for control hurt you in the long run?
